10 Best Dressed at the Met Gala 2015 “China: Through the Looking Glass”

The 2015 Met Gala was a star-studded event with lots of glitz and glamour as always, but this was one our favorites. With so many looks to choose from it was quite difficult to do our yearly Best Dressed list for the year.

Although many did not hit the mark on this year theme which was “China: Through the Looking Glass”, there were many great looks to choose from that were on point.

“I love that some people got it and some people didn’t,” Jay- Z’s stylist, June Ambrose, told Pagesix.com this week. There were several dresses that made is feel like we had just received access into an emperor’s abode where he held a festive event that was meant for only the elite. It was phenomenal. Lady Gaga is one who loves to take something simple and make it extreme. Pearls are known for looking great on the ears, neck, and wrist and occasionally sewn into clothing and accessories but never have we seen pearls in the nose.

The “Poker Face” singer, known for her unique take on pearls and fashion, recently went up a gauge on her nose ring, and apparently the pearl look was one of her choices.

Gaga rode the waves and showed off her pearl nose ring which she debuted on Instagram. She even shared an image of her pairing the ring with a necklace and pearl-studded bra (love that necklace and bra). read more

Lady Gaga is known for her unique expression to fashion and music and this was another example of just that.

Lady Gaga showcases her unique style at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards after party in New York. At the event she could be seen wearing a sparkling dress accompanied with a large headpiece with two circles (seemingly embroidery circles) that were surrounded by lace fabric and pearls—lots of pearls!

There was even two large pearls hanging from the headpiece when gave the illusion of pearl earrings. read more

Lady Gaga has always been known for her controversial style but “Whoa!” is pretty much the word that came to mind when we saw the “Fashion!” singer at the Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards in 2013.

The “Poker Face” girl looked washed out in this all white Thom Brown look with loads of pearl detailing accompanied with daring sky-high platform heels and pearl covered gloves.

Although the makeup is much too extreme for us, we can appreciate the love for pearls!

The “Marilyn Monroe” singer is known for being artistic and daring just like Lady Gaga, but with her own flair.

Well, someone seems to love pearls just as much as we do. When it comes to the “Born This Way” artist, Lady Gaga knows how to make a statement and she proved it by showing up at the 2010 amfAR Annual Gala wearing pearls all over her body.

Painting her skin white, Lady Gaga dressed herself in a bikini, crop jacket, and 12 inch heels that were covered in pearls. If that wasn’t enough, she also had tons of tiny pearls glued all over her face, stomach, and legs.
